Control Appliances With Your Computer – The Internet of All Things

Posted by & filed under Video Post.

In an effort to contribute to the “Internet of all Things” movement in these early stages of development, we are building our own low cost controller that can switch most any household powered item using a computer, phone or tablet from anywhere in the world, thanks to the internet.

Our simple low cost project is scratch built that uses an easy to obtain $35 Raspberry PI development computer as the systems network host. The controller board that has 4 independent channel relays is hand built using easy to find, inexpensive parts. The case to house the entire project is printed using a 3D printer.

This video is Part 1 of a 2 Part Build. Subscribe to our YouTube channel to be informed by email when the final build will be published.
