This is an off-the-cuff look back at the use and anatomy of the iconic 1970s era, 8-track tape player. This format became wildly popular in its day and was used by the masses to listen to music entertainment in vehicles and in home use. The cassette player eventually became the more popular formats but that too was a victim of progress as the CD and MP3 formats of current day take the lead in entertainment audio system formats.
