Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 is a airline passenger jet that disappeared without a trace on 8 March 2014 en route from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport. The aircraft operated by Malaysia Airlines was carrying 12 crew members and 227 passengers from 15 countries.

About 45 minutes after takeoff, air traffic controllers in Subang said reported they lost contact with the plane somewhere over the sea between Malaysia and Vietnam at coordinates 06 55 15n 103 34 43e. The airline reported in a press release on 11 March that “there were no distress calls and no information was relayed.”
