Title of Question: Installing 2007 Microsoft Office Home and Student.
The Question: Good afternoon. First I want to say Thank You for the help you have provided us in your Info Videos. You are a Big Help. I have a New Dell 8.1 machine and need to install Word I have the the Disk for the 2007 but when I try to load it I am unable to. I did a little research. I removed the trial version, but still no luck. Any advice would be a big help.

Most programs written for earlier versions of Windows also work in newer version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not run at all.

If an older program doesn’t run correctly or doesn’t install, start the Program Compatibility troubleshooter, which simulates an earlier version of Windows. You can run the wizard on the setup program itself if the program doesn’t install, or you can run the wizard on the program if it installs but doesn’t run correctly.

Alternatively you could use a free office type package caller open off found at http://openoffice.org
